Reductil (sibutramine) is an anti-obesity medicine intended for patients trying to battle their obesity but without any particular success. Make sure you inform your health care provider of the fact of taking any other medications or if you have any medical conditions that may potentially affect the success of your treatment. The following medical conditions are supposed to be reported: bleeding disorder, liver or kidney disease, a history of heart attack or stroke, heart disease, depression, seizures, high blood pressure, a history of gallstones, or glaucoma. Both mild and more serious side effects are possible. If you get such mild side effects as upset stomach, constipation, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, hunger, loss of appetite, runny or stuffy nose, or mild skin rash, there is no need to report them as they usually go away on their own. However, such serious side effects as seizure, pounding heartbeats, stiff muscles, high blood pressure, confusion, and blood in your urine or stool must be reported to your doctor as soon as possible to see what can be done about them. Store Reductil in some place safe and never give it to other people that may have contraindications or are younger than 18.
